If you also shovel, check which drives have a walk along two sides.

  • Multi-car driveways

Allow for the extra passes when you work out a quote.

  • New owners

Choose a street, then walk the drives

  1. Pick a plow area

Choose ZIP codes or draw the streets you want to serve.

  2. Check the drives from the street

Open your list on the phone map. Check the driveway layout and the owner's name, if listed. Walk the drive before you bid.

  3. Send a card and check replies

Growth and Pro export postcards and door hangers with a QR code for each home. Owners can ask for a quote on a page with your business name and logo. Every plan also exports a CSV.

Start with streets you already serve

Adding a driveway across town can make you late to your last stop. Check the travel time before looking at driveway size. On Growth and Pro, RouteLeads ranks addresses by distance to customers you already serve. The route density guide shows how to count the drive a new stop adds.

On Starter, choose 3 ZIP codes where you already work. Every plan has a phone map for checking addresses on the street. Before promising a new driveway, put it in your stop order. Use the driveway capacity guide to check whether you have time.

Make a short list you can actually work

Shortlist only drives you’d take if the owner agreed to your price. Remove shared entrances you don’t want to sort out and streets that require a long detour. The guide to getting snow plowing customers has a card script and a way to check the drive before quoting.

  1. Walk the streets near your current stops and mark which drives need an on-site check.
  2. Knock on owners you want to quote. Leave a card where no one answers.
  3. Review new-owner alerts, weekly on Starter and Growth or daily on Pro, and decide which nearby addresses to visit next.

Growth and Pro export postcards and door hangers. Each piece gets a QR code for that home. If an owner requests a quote, you get an alert with the details they sent. A scan alone doesn’t give you their contact information. Check which card or street brought requests before your next print run.

Walk the drive before you bid

Size and layout help you pick doors to knock; a bid still takes a walk. Check:

  • Space to push snow: A fence or neighboring property can leave little room for a pile.
  • Obstacles: Mark curbs, paver edges and sprinkler heads the blade could hit.
  • Surface: Gravel may require a different blade setting and more time.
  • Access: Check the slope, room to turn and whether the entrance is shared.
  • Walks: If you shovel too, confirm the sections the owner wants cleared.

If the drive is shared, agree on who pays before you take the job. For public walks, check the town’s rules before offering the owner a service window.

Quote from your own time and costs

Use the size and layout as a starting check, then set a price after the walk-through. Decide what each visit covers and what costs extra. The snow plowing pricing guide shows how to compare per-push and seasonal terms using your own figures.

Enter your own price, visits per customer and number of new customers in the calculator. For a seasonal contract, enter the contract price and one job per customer. The result is revenue, not profit after fuel or labor.

You pay a flat monthly price within your plan’s lead limit, not a fee for each address. Compare ZIP codes and lead limits on the pricing page.

See what new customers could add

Enter what you charge and how often you work for each customer. See yearly sales before costs and how many customers would cover a plan at its monthly price.

Your usual price for one visit or job, in dollars.

How many times you service one customer in a year. A seasonal contract billed once counts as one.

How many new customers you'd like to sign this year.

Enter your numbers to see what new customers could bring in.

This compares sales before costs with twelve monthly plan payments. It uses your numbers and our plan prices, not a forecast of what you'll earn.

Common questions

How does RouteLeads help me find plow customers?

It lists homes with the driveways you want on the streets you choose. Check each layout from the road, then knock or leave a card at the drives you want to bid.

Why is a driveway on the list?

It has the driveway details you chose, such as length or sidewalk frontage. Confirmed means those details are clear; Likely means check them before you pitch.

When should I contact owners?

Contact owners while you still have room on your route. Walk the drives you want to bid before promising a price.

How do I know which cards worked?

Growth and Pro show which postcard or door hanger got a quote request. Each QR code opens a quote page with your business name and logo. If an owner requests a quote, you get the details they entered. For a scan without a request, you'll see a suggestion to knock nearby.

Can I run plowing and landscaping from one account?

Yes, on Growth and Pro. Starter covers one service, Growth covers three and Pro has no limit. Keep your mowing and plowing lists in the same account.

Are the leads exclusive to me?

No. Another plow operator may see the same driveway. You pay a flat monthly price, not a fee per lead. Work the drives that fit within your plan's lead limit.

Do I get homeowner phone numbers or emails?

No. You reach owners with a knock or a card. On Growth and Pro, owners who want a quote scan the code on your postcard or door hanger and send you their contact details themselves.

Do I need a card to start the trial?

No card needed. The trial runs 14 days on any plan.
