Terms of service

Last updated

These terms are between RouteLeads (“we”, “us”) and the business that signs up (“you”). You accept them when you start a trial or subscribe. If you sign up for a company, you confirm that you’re at least 18 and allowed to accept these terms for it. RouteLeads is for business use only.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

What RouteLeads is

RouteLeads is a subscription service for businesses that work routes. You pick a service and territory. We send you matching leads with a property address, the owner’s name when public records list it, and the property details behind the match. Your plan may also include alerts for new homeowners and property changes, leads ranked by distance to your current customers, and exports.

Plan limits (services, ZIP codes, leads per month and team seats) are listed on the pricing page. One lead means one qualified address that matches your chosen service and is delivered that month.

Leads aren’t exclusive. Other RouteLeads customers who work the same area may receive the same addresses.

Free trial

Every plan comes with a 14-day free trial. You don’t need a card to start. When the trial ends, your account pauses until you choose a plan and add a payment method.

Billing and renewal

  • You can pay monthly or annually. An annual plan covers 12 months and costs the same as 10 months at the monthly price.
  • Plans are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Prices don’t include tax. You pay any sales tax that applies.
  • If we change the price of your plan, we’ll email you at least 30 days before you’re charged the new price.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause your account until it’s fixed.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing us. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then. We don’t refund partial periods or unused lead allowance, except where the law requires it.

How you may use leads

While you’re subscribed, you may use leads to market and sell your own services. For example, you may knock on doors, mail postcards, leave door hangers or load leads into your CRM or field-service app. Your employees and contractors may use the leads for your business too. You may keep exported leads in your own records after you cancel, but these terms still apply to them.

You may not:

  • Resell, rent, sublicense, publish or give leads to anyone outside your business.
  • Use leads to decide whether someone gets credit, insurance, a job, housing or a lease, or for any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. RouteLeads is not a consumer reporting agency.
  • Contact a homeowner for any reason other than offering your services.
  • Harass, threaten or follow anyone.
  • Target or skip homes because of the race, religion, national origin, sex, disability, familial status or any other protected trait of the people who live there.
  • Copy, scrape or bulk-download the service beyond your plan’s export features, or try to get around plan limits.
  • Share your login outside your plan’s team seats, or reverse engineer the service.
  • Use the service for anything illegal.

Follow the rules for reaching homeowners

You’re responsible for how you contact the people on your lists.

  • Door knocking. Check your city and county rules before you knock. Many towns require a solicitor’s permit, limit the hours you can knock, or keep a do-not-knock list. Respect “No soliciting” signs and HOA rules. If someone tells you not to come back, don’t.
  • Calls and texts. Leads don’t include phone numbers. If you add numbers from another source, follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the National Do Not Call Registry and your state’s telemarketing laws. Don’t use an autodialer or a prerecorded message to call or text a cell phone without the consent the law requires.
  • Email. Follow the CAN-SPAM Act: honest sender names and subject lines, your business’s physical mailing address in every message, and a working unsubscribe link. Honor unsubscribes within 10 business days.
  • Mailboxes. Don’t put flyers or door hangers in or on a mailbox, including hanging them from the post. Federal law and postal rules reserve mailboxes for postage-paid mail, so hang them on the door.
  • Homeowner requests. If a homeowner asks you not to contact them, stop and take them off your lists. If we tell you an address has been suppressed, stop contacting it and delete it from your exports.

We don’t give legal advice. Ask a local lawyer or your city clerk’s office if you aren’t sure what your area allows.

About the data

Records and estimates can both be wrong or out of date. Records don’t always keep up with changes to a property: a home may have sold last month, a pool may have been filled in, or the panels may have come off during a reroof. The listed owner may be a trust or an LLC rather than the person who lives there.

Each signal is labeled Confirmed or Likely. Confirmed means we found direct evidence for it. Likely means it’s our best estimate. Either label can be wrong. We don’t promise that any lead is accurate or complete, or that it will turn into a customer. Check a lead yourself before you rely on it for anything beyond deciding which doors to knock.

Your data

Data you upload or enter remains yours, including the customer addresses you add for route clustering. We use it only to run the service for you. We don’t sell it or show it to other customers. When you close your account, you can ask us to delete it.

Who owns what

We and our licensors own RouteLeads, its software and website, and the way its leads are compiled and presented. These terms give you a limited right to use the service while you’re subscribed. They don’t transfer ownership. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Suspending or closing your account

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if your use puts other people or the service at risk. This includes breaking the rules on reaching homeowners or reselling leads. When reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account without cause, we’ll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise the service will run without interruptions or errors.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • Neither of us is liable to the other for lost profits, lost revenue, or indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

Your responsibility for your outreach

You will defend us against, and pay for, claims, fines and costs that come from how you use leads or contact homeowners. That includes claims that you broke the laws listed in Follow the rules for reaching homeowners.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [STATE], and we both agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll update the date at the top when they change. For changes that matter to paying customers, we’ll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using RouteLeads after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

Other terms

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given it up. You may not transfer your account without our written consent. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about RouteLeads.
